Walking directions from the Rhode Island Convention Center Parking Lot (1 Sabin Street, Providence) to the Cultural Center are as follows:

1. Exit the Convention Center Parking Lot and walk approx. 1 block east to the end of the parking garage. At the intersection, the Omni Hotel will be on your left, a small park will be straight ahead, and a building with a mural of tiles and a green roof will be on your right.

2. Proceed to the right around the mural tile building and turn right onto Fountain Street (head away from the park).

3. Take your first left onto Union Street and walk for two blocks to Washington Street. The URI Feinstein campus will be straight ahead on your right at the intersection of Union and Washington.

4. If you arrive early (before 4:50PM), you can meet up with us at the Feinstein CCE campus inside the building before we head to the Roots Cultural Center. We will be in the Paff Auditorium, straight ahead on the first floor, about half way down the hallway.

5. If you arrive at 5PM, continue straight past the Feinstein campus for one more block. Take a right onto Westminster Street and continue for one block. The Roots Cultural Center will be on your left, at 276 Westminster Street (on the corner of Westminster and Clemence Street).

If you are walking from a nearby hotel, use this map to help.

For those of you who are meeting earlier in the day at the URI Providence campus, we will walk together the few blocks over to the Cultural Center.

Come to the reception prepared to work and socialize with the other participants and the Institute Leaders. Beer, wine, soft drinks and light refreshments will be served.

We look forward to meeting you at the launch of the Institute Sunday night!
